Welcome to the Michigan Farm Day website!
Michigan Farm Day is a non-profit company based in Michigan. Our mission is to encourage a stronger connection between kids and natural, locally grown foods, along with providing supplemental education that supports this effort. Our Farm Day Events are fun and informative and allow children and adults to taste and purchase locally grown foods at school. At these events we educate participants in the superior taste and nutritional value of fresh, local foods and encourage kids to take part in the food selection process with their families.
Michigan Farm Day was created to do to the following:
- Help kids make better food choices based on knowledge and positive experiences
- Make it easy for kids and their parents to enjoy healthy, flavorful fruit and vegetable selections, as well as prepared foods that are created from the fresh produce, by providing them onsite, at school.
- Provide learning opportunities to children about the importance of natural products, agriculture and how this relates to their health.
Please visit our Overview page to learn more about Michigan Farm Day. Also, feel free to Contact us if you’d like Michigan Farm Day to visit your school or would like to share your ideas for enhancing the program. Together we can drive a healthy message through Michigan one child, one adult, and one community at a time.
